Kunama 1956

Editorial

This is the first of what we hope will be many consecutive issues of the magazine of Monaro High School. Now that the school is well established, and taking its place among the other high schools of the State, we feel that this new venture will add to our traditions.

We have noticed a growing pride in the wearing of the school uniform, evidence of a steadily developing school spirit. These are signs of a strongly founded and well-governed school and we feel sure that next year's magazine will reflect a still greater pride in the school.

The school as a whole owes a debt to the many people who have made this magazine possible: to Mr. Brownlee, for his enthusiasm in directing the work, to members of the staff who have co-operated with him, to the generosity of the business firms who made the necessary finance available to us, and perhaps most of all to all those who have contributed so well to our pages. The task has been not to find enough material but to make a selection from all that was submitted. We hope that the position will be the same for all future issues.
