During the 1955-56 cricket season, a number of the school players played with the Colts Club in the Saturday afternoon competition. Although the team did not win many matches, the players gained valuable experience which was evident in the match against Bega High School.
Best performances were recorded by David Mould, Tony Chalker and Colin Andrews with the bat, and Ross Smith and David Mould with the ball. Most members of the team showed considerable improvement during the season.
It is to be hoped that school players will continue to participate in the Saturday competition, and that they maintain the interest shown by this team.
The following boys played in the team: D. Mould, T. Barwood, T. Chalker, C. Andrews, R. Smith, P. Morris, R. Maiden, R. O'Neill, P. Kirkpatrick, J. White, R. Morton, R. Worley, J. Andean, R. Steiner, D. Hine, P. Murphy, D. McGufficke.
