This year the school entered several worthwhile essay competitions; many pupils were successful in these.
In April, Neil Rackham of 5th Year won a competition, the purpose of which was an may to promote wool - Neil's essay was also later published in the "Cooma-Monaro Express!"
A Road Safety Project sponsored by the Road Safety Council, received the support of 2nd and 3rd Years. Peter Stronach 2B, David O'Rorke 3A, Joan Constance 3A, were successful. Peter won a substantial prize.
In an essay on "The Significance of the Kokoda Trail," Lindsay Malcolm and Joan Andean won prizes donated by Cooma R.S.L. Club, while Joan's entry received a certificate of merit in the State section. Congratulations to these pupils.
