Kunama 1960

Literary Contributions / Riding

Riding to school on my bike I hear and see many marvellous things of nature. I hear the Kookaburra laughing high in the tall gum trees. I see the silver-eye pecking among the grass and the vivid parrots eating the berries off the briar bushes.

When the ground is covered with a soft mantel of snow I see the tracks of the rabbit imprinted in the snow. All these things I see riding my bike to school.
