Kunama 1971

Student Representative Council

Since the commencement of the School Council at the beginning of 1970, it has achieved many benefits for the school and pupils. During 1971 we have achieved the following:

  1. The serving of tea and coffee at the tuckshop with paper cups supplied. also a reduction from 15 cents to 12 cents was obtained.
  2. The S.R.C. was the major instigator in obtaining slacks for winter.
  3. A large mirror was obtained for the junior girls' toilets
  4. New open team football jumpers will be replaced in 1972 as the present ones are worn out.
  5. Obtained the use of the library on any day for Form 4.

Mr McKay has been very fair, consenting to a large majority of our suggestions. We hope that the pupils of Monaro High School do not neglect the privileges that are being offered to them. This is especially aimed at the girls, concerning the wearing of regulation school slacks. If anyone does neglect these privileges it may lead to their retraction. So, as the old proverb states, "you are taking a little by accepting these privileges, so also give little to your school.
