Kunama 1971

Untitled

A drab, dull day
Cruel gusts of wind
Scatter the once colouredleaves.
Stark, bare trees
Stretch to the dismal horizon.
A shabby, peeling, painted fence
With a lopsided creaking gate.
Destroyed by thoughless kicks.
A dash of colour
The first Robin Red-Breast
Hope!

Rosemary Gilfillan, 63
