Kunama 1977

Life

The girl was lost in a world of her own.
One she could not understand.
Subjected to hate and rejection and loneliness,
Looking for an alternative way out.

She found what she was looking for
One night at a party.
It dispelled all her fears and hate for people,
It gave her a sense of importance.

She came to rely on this life-giver,
She couldn't see the effect.
She only knew what it did for her mind
Not what it did for her body.

This innocent white powder, and
That harmless syringe
Was what turned this girl
To a corpse - and serenity.
